Le retour du survivant!

Hej everybody!

I'm finally back after a long period full of wonderful in the world of the bisounours and so, I will be able to write a  big chapter just for you!

So we will stard by the oldest event.
Pouf! flash back!

Long, long time ago in a strange country, I went to something called the kulturnatten. It is some king of what we call in french " la fête de la musique"

In fact, it is a little bit more diversified even if the majority of the activities is in relation with the music and the dance.
So we have seen some nice belly dancers, some African dances, taste some realy nice foreign food from all over the world (almost :-p ) etc...

Otherwise, it seems that there was a demostration of  street running but i missed it...and I don't have a lot of other stuff to say about that...

 Flash back number 2!

I finally went to see the famous lake of Uppsala withtwo other frenchies. In the end, it is far away from the town.. well more than what I thought (according to google map around 13km, but it's ok, that's nothing compared to what I'm used to do with, furthermore, it's all flat :-D  )

Only one of us dared swim (I have a good excuse, i didn't had my swimsuit so... :-p)
About the water and the lake, well... it was a little bit more "dirty" than what i expected and the lake is so big that I had the feeling to be at the see.

Oh yeah something strange also. At  17h more or less, the garss was already wet and there was some places where there was some water and under the water  a normal ground ... and the water didn't infiltrate in the ground...now you have an idea of the humidity of the area :-D

On the way back, we passed near , in my opinion, a wonderful ski resort for dwarves.

I think you can finish the "descente" ( pouf first franglish sentence!)

Then, ba go back in town with the bike (as if I had the choice) but it wasn't really cold so it was ok.
And, miracle! There was some sun! yep! for real!
But as you can see, it is already almost down...sure it was 17h BUT!

And now! let's go for the big and long (hum hum ) alcholic part: THE TRIP TO TALLIN!!!

So we have made a small and fun round trip in Estonia, just to have something to avoid dying during winter ( or at least the first 2 weeks)
Anyway for a good summary, nothing is better than a good picture:

.
.

I think you have understood the aim of this fun trip.
When you will see the pice of alcohol in sweden, you will understand that we didn't had the choice!

For the "normal" part of the trip, we took the bus from uppsala to Stckholm. We have tried the bus company "bus 4 you" and there are really, really, class: inside: leather seats, coffee, wifi, the height of luxury!

Then, direction the landing stage to go in our boat named... I don't remember it's name. Something like the Victoria-I maybe... anyway a big, nice, fucking awesome ferry! :-D

Inside: beautiful  carpets, 3-4 elevators, one place for the casino/cabaret, one nightclub, some saunas and the main attraction the "free tax" shops! One for the perfumes and one for the interesting stuff like alcohol and M&M's.
The old people looked very happy... in fact they are almost more alcoholic than us...

In the cabin, just enough place we needed to make a mess in less than 10 min.
But the cabin was nice, there was a shower-toilets-basin inside, all in one...
You should take notes damn french  architects when you make the student's rooms!

My little victory at the in the casino part; I won the jackpot \o/
Unfortunately, it is en Swedish kronor, furthermore, I wanted to try the black-jack but I wasn't old enought... 21 years old...seriously...
Well as long as I don't have to be 21 to buy alcohol it's ok :-p

The cabaret part ( don't try to enlarge the picture, it will download a virus which make it all blurry )

The journey stokholm-> tallin was enough calm. Furthermore, we were at the 8th floor so hadn't heard the sounds of the motor...not like all the clandestine passengers who were sleeping in the hold of the boat (don't worry for them they didn't had to heard it during a long time because the staff threw them out of the boat in middle of the trip)
In tallin, the weather was really beautiful! Well not really...There was a lot of clouds and a light drizzle but compared to the weather we have seen outside the boat during the travel, it was a nice weather.

So we started moving like zombies toward our prey: the shops.. Actually, not the ones with alcohol at the beginning. Of course, we felt withdrawal symptoms due to the lack of alcohol but if we had seen one, nothing says that we wouldn't have succumb to the temptation.. and carrying 10kg of alcohol during  the whole day isn't really funny.
In the end we should have start drinking to alleviate our burden; and the cops should have caught us ( yes, it is forbidden to drink in the street in Estonia) and throw us in jail with lovely fatty bearded  man nammed the "anacondas" (guess why).

Well maybe not in fact but we never know.... (Last semi-HS on the practical guide of the boat, it was written something like " it is forbidden to drink in the street, yes, for our dear French friends too"... we are definitely labelled as alcoholic even in Estonia \o/, I need to find the picture)

Let's go back to our visit of the city (and stop talking in the past conditionnal or something like that's, it's too damn hard >_<)
We have mostly walk in the "old" town , the touristy part of tallin. Even if it's just a part of the city, it more looks like a small touristy town than a capital i think.
So in the end, we have seen :

The parliament (or something like that I don't remember exactly)

The church. Inside, it's a little bit different that the catholic ones; less "open", les ippresionant (I think), less place for the sacrifices and the fireworks... among other things  ...

At noon, we have eat in a small restaurant where there was some "Estonians pancake ". Small problem, cash only... If you want to find a cash dispenser in tallin, good luck it isn't easy...
Otherwise, "pancakes" mean crêpes; They deserve to be flogged for that but it wasn't so bad so we let them continue making "pancakes"... for the moment...

To finish, we went in the more interesting stores for completing our quest! By the way, we had been controlled in the supermarket...well he cheked 3 of us and when He have seen all the bottles we had, he suddenly felt to lazy to control all of us.

You understand now, we were 3 (1 Swedish, 2 French and me) and we came back with probably around 50L of magic potion (and 2kg of M&M's for me )

My small treasure with, among others things, a beer mug (for the memories ) and an unknow alcohol BUT! it seems to be a vanilla alcohol... vanilla is always good...I hope......
As it wass less expensive than in sweeden, I should have take more stuff like beers but ma bag was full. Next time, I will bring something bigger!

During the return, the sea wass a little bit more rough but nothing really bade.
Then, we took the train direction Uppsala!
In the end, for around 150-170 kronor, (99 for 2 night in the boat + the shows etc..) we have made a nice alcohol trip like in Andorre!

Otherwise, just to dessapoint some people, I haven't seen some nice, friendly, ladys... well, maybe one, or maybe it was just a a women dressed and with the same make up as one of them waiting someone near a beautiful small street worthy of the darker thriller... I should have asked her :-p

Here we are! End of the alcoholic part!

Now, another fun activity: the concert of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers at the ericsson globe!

Wednesday , 13h we took the bus just after the lectures.
The concert was planned at 19h30, so we just took a look at stockholm, manly the big street with all the shops.

One of the nice buildings (I have no idea of what it is)

One of the bridges of the city. There is 17 islands in Stockholm so there is also a looot of bridges!

The "royal palace"  (I think)

With, of course with its robotic guard, sold with all the option: silly walks, evil eye, waterproof etc...

After that, we went to the apartment of our the guy who gave us a place to sleep: A friend of the friend of my friend...got it? :-D
A very nice guy. We have a nice point of view from his window.

Now the most important: the concert!

During the firts part, it was an african band: let's say that it wasn't really the same kind of music.

The globe was crowded during the concert while the red hot were on the stage.

They haven't played alot of new songs, mostly old ones.

In the end, it was maybe a little bit to short I think. They have played during something like 1h, 1h30 ( the band of the first part played during 1h ).
I thought it will be more long but anyway it was fun.
The sound sucks but...

The globe is really big.But there is something I don't understand, 50% (at least) of the space is useless there is nothing, no sits, no rooms, just some girders...why? Probably a Swedish conspiracy. In my opinion, It is a big massive reptilian secret weapon ... we will probably never know the truth.....

I have also seen that they have some nice concert planned: motorhead, smashing pumpkins, deep purple and in February... Rammstein! Unfortunately, i have looked on the website and the tickets are all already sold so now, it's more around 1400kronors than 750 like the red hot :-/

This is the end of the first part. I don't have anymore place to write so I will finish with the gasque on another page!
