Le retours du survivant épisode 2

On continue donc :-D

And Now, ladys and gentlemen, THE V-DALA GASQUE!

Firstly: What is a gasque?
Well, it's a formal dinner  where you need to wear a suit whit a tie for the women and a dress for the men...or maybe it's the contrary... During the dinner, there was singing, some alcohols, some music, then alcohol, and after food...and also more alcohol.
We had specific places with our name etc.If I remember well, I was near 2 Chinese, one Dutch and one swedish. but the one who was supposed to be in front of me wasn't here. (nice thing you will understand later)

When i was with the other, in front of the entrance, I have realized that the paper I had ( my "ticket") wasn't, in fact,  my ticket. So the thing I have carefully kept in my wallet during 2 month was absolutely useless...  eeeeetttttt m****. Furthermore, I  bought it in the beginning of the year so, now,  I wasn't even sure it was for the good gasque. Fortunately they had the list of the people who had bought a ticket.
When I went at the entrance, the nice lady looked for my name; first look, nothing, second nothing again... and finally she found me the third time......
MOUAHAHAHA IN YOUR FACE LA LOI DE MURPHY!!!

So in the end I could get inside. We had the opportunity to by 2 more schnaps for the diner...why not :-D We alos had one free glass of champagne. In a room there was a photographer and a lot of fun stuff for the pictures like the stormstropper helmet, a pink unicorn, sombreros etc... I was free but I don't know the pictures look strange. He should have add some stupid effect or I don't know what Oo

After around 1h we finally were allowed to go at the tables.
At the beginning  there was a little song where we had to drink some part of the shooter of schnapps in  the end. Yeah some part... not all except that I didn't know that so, like every time we have a shooter in France we dink it all...  But I wasn't the only French to do that :-D. Of course after I didn't have any alcohol left.. . not for a long time don't worry.  ( I think now the think french people are alcoolic)
During the dinner, there was:
- A choir; they arrived on the stage singing the French anthem (WTF?!) (There also made a small speech about jesus giving a glass of vodka and saying "drink! because it is very good!")

Some Brazilian music and some traditional sweedish musique ( quite nice).

It isn't very hard to be better than french traditional song; violin is better than accordion.
But I have to admit that I miss hearing my grandfather playing harmonica :-D

There was then other songs, one for children i think  (head, shoulder, knees and toes) With, of course, some modification, some moment where we add schnapps. At the beginning, I thought we had to drink when there were saying schnapps... but then I understood that it wasn't possible because It starts getting really, really fast. Not that I wasn't able to drink enough fast but while singing it starts getting harder and if you also have to fill you glass in the same time... but it should be fun to try :-D
Anyway, what did we had to eat? Some really nice "grattin dauphinois"  and moose meatballs (unfortunatly, there were very dry even with sauce :-(...  ) with red wine to accompany this (plus the beer and the schnapps ).  For the desert there was a cake... strange cake I don't really know what flavor it was, with baley or punch (well the name sounded like punch but it wasn't punch) By the way, the punch smelt like 90° alcohol but in fact it was less strong than baley Oo
One of the advantage I had during this dinner was that as the girl who was supposed to be in front of me wasn't' here, we have made a fair distribution of her stuff and so I had her beer....I also had a nice part of the alcohols of the people who were around me...AHHHH I was in heaven!

At the end of the dinner, they have washed everything in something like 15 min to transform the place in dance floor..
As I wasn't enough drunk to dance, I tried to take my 2 schnapps before leaving. At the first bar: "Sorry we don't have schnapps here maybe at the other bar" At the other one: "Humm we don't have schnapps either.  Maybe I can trade it against another alcohol? Well Ok what do you want?"
A little bit later for the second one: "Can I have the same thing again? Nope I'm sorry but in fact it doesn't work now it was only during the dinner. (Les petits salopiauds!)"
I tried with another barman but he also knew that it didn't work... So in the end I have a useless ticket of 40 kronnors ...
I was so depress that i came back home, crying and moaning against this unfair and terrible world...

That's the end of the crazy week! Now like a wise man said, with all the money I have spend i will eat... water, that's good water....

Otherwise what interesting stuff... I have done the first exam... well done it's a big word.
I was surprised because in France I was used to learn with the exercises but here, we had at least 5 different spectroscopy technique but we almost haven't work on spectrum and try to interpret them.
So I had 0 exercise more or less. Of course there was the exercise in the book But it's like "find blablabla" and when you look at the answer it's "42" ... ok why, wich formula do we use.. Oo.
But I think the interesting lectures starts at the end of this semester because now it is more physics than chemistry so...
And there is something else also. Here the lab work are, in fact, useless for the marks because if you have less than half of the points, it do nothing, so you cant use them to "pass" the exam :-D
If you have more than half, with the best marks at the lab work, you have +10% so...

I have also learn the answer to a question of the exam. The question was something like:
"You can you use X-ray to find the structure of amorphous solid?"

And the answer was... you cant'... so vicious....   .... ....I love this teacher! :-D

(Yeah I had to find so pictures to avoid doing a big big pavé... and I like meme)

So that's all for now I'm too lazy to look for the mistake in the 2 article so...
If I don't write anything else during the two next months, It means that I am dead of starvation or i have eat my hand.( or that the Swedish  secret services had killed me because I have discovered the truth about the Ericsson globe. but they will never find rlv, mdkhg

v,HELP!!!!!

Le retour du survivant!

Hej everybody!

I'm finally back after a long period full of wonderful in the world of the bisounours and so, I will be able to write a  big chapter just for you!

So we will stard by the oldest event.
Pouf! flash back!

Long, long time ago in a strange country, I went to something called the kulturnatten. It is some king of what we call in french " la fête de la musique"

In fact, it is a little bit more diversified even if the majority of the activities is in relation with the music and the dance.
So we have seen some nice belly dancers, some African dances, taste some realy nice foreign food from all over the world (almost :-p ) etc...

Otherwise, it seems that there was a demostration of  street running but i missed it...and I don't have a lot of other stuff to say about that...

 Flash back number 2!

I finally went to see the famous lake of Uppsala withtwo other frenchies. In the end, it is far away from the town.. well more than what I thought (according to google map around 13km, but it's ok, that's nothing compared to what I'm used to do with, furthermore, it's all flat :-D  )

Only one of us dared swim (I have a good excuse, i didn't had my swimsuit so... :-p)
About the water and the lake, well... it was a little bit more "dirty" than what i expected and the lake is so big that I had the feeling to be at the see.

Oh yeah something strange also. At  17h more or less, the garss was already wet and there was some places where there was some water and under the water  a normal ground ... and the water didn't infiltrate in the ground...now you have an idea of the humidity of the area :-D

On the way back, we passed near , in my opinion, a wonderful ski resort for dwarves.

I think you can finish the "descente" ( pouf first franglish sentence!)

Then, ba go back in town with the bike (as if I had the choice) but it wasn't really cold so it was ok.
And, miracle! There was some sun! yep! for real!
But as you can see, it is already almost down...sure it was 17h BUT!

And now! let's go for the big and long (hum hum ) alcholic part: THE TRIP TO TALLIN!!!

So we have made a small and fun round trip in Estonia, just to have something to avoid dying during winter ( or at least the first 2 weeks)
Anyway for a good summary, nothing is better than a good picture:
.
.
.
.
.
.

I think you have understood the aim of this fun trip.
When you will see the pice of alcohol in sweden, you will understand that we didn't had the choice!

For the "normal" part of the trip, we took the bus from uppsala to Stckholm. We have tried the bus company "bus 4 you" and there are really, really, class: inside: leather seats, coffee, wifi, the height of luxury!

Then, direction the landing stage to go in our boat named... I don't remember it's name. Something like the Victoria-I maybe... anyway a big, nice, fucking awesome ferry! :-D

Inside: beautiful  carpets, 3-4 elevators, one place for the casino/cabaret, one nightclub, some saunas and the main attraction the "free tax" shops! One for the perfumes and one for the interesting stuff like alcohol and M&M's.
The old people looked very happy... in fact they are almost more alcoholic than us...

In the cabin, just enough place we needed to make a mess in less than 10 min.
But the cabin was nice, there was a shower-toilets-basin inside, all in one...
You should take notes damn french  architects when you make the student's rooms!

My little victory at the in the casino part; I won the jackpot \o/
Unfortunately, it is en Swedish kronor, furthermore, I wanted to try the black-jack but I wasn't old enought... 21 years old...seriously...
Well as long as I don't have to be 21 to buy alcohol it's ok :-p

The cabaret part ( don't try to enlarge the picture, it will download a virus which make it all blurry )

The journey stokholm-> tallin was enough calm. Furthermore, we were at the 8th floor so hadn't heard the sounds of the motor...not like all the clandestine passengers who were sleeping in the hold of the boat (don't worry for them they didn't had to heard it during a long time because the staff threw them out of the boat in middle of the trip)
In tallin, the weather was really beautiful! Well not really...There was a lot of clouds and a light drizzle but compared to the weather we have seen outside the boat during the travel, it was a nice weather.

So we started moving like zombies toward our prey: the shops.. Actually, not the ones with alcohol at the beginning. Of course, we felt withdrawal symptoms due to the lack of alcohol but if we had seen one, nothing says that we wouldn't have succumb to the temptation.. and carrying 10kg of alcohol during  the whole day isn't really funny.
In the end we should have start drinking to alleviate our burden; and the cops should have caught us ( yes, it is forbidden to drink in the street in Estonia) and throw us in jail with lovely fatty bearded  man nammed the "anacondas" (guess why).

Well maybe not in fact but we never know.... (Last semi-HS on the practical guide of the boat, it was written something like " it is forbidden to drink in the street, yes, for our dear French friends too"... we are definitely labelled as alcoholic even in Estonia \o/, I need to find the picture)

Let's go back to our visit of the city (and stop talking in the past conditionnal or something like that's, it's too damn hard >_<)
We have mostly walk in the "old" town , the touristy part of tallin. Even if it's just a part of the city, it more looks like a small touristy town than a capital i think.
So in the end, we have seen :

The parliament (or something like that I don't remember exactly)

The church. Inside, it's a little bit different that the catholic ones; less "open", les ippresionant (I think), less place for the sacrifices and the fireworks... among other things  ...

At noon, we have eat in a small restaurant where there was some "Estonians pancake ". Small problem, cash only... If you want to find a cash dispenser in tallin, good luck it isn't easy...
Otherwise, "pancakes" mean crêpes; They deserve to be flogged for that but it wasn't so bad so we let them continue making "pancakes"... for the moment...

To finish, we went in the more interesting stores for completing our quest! By the way, we had been controlled in the supermarket...well he cheked 3 of us and when He have seen all the bottles we had, he suddenly felt to lazy to control all of us.

You understand now, we were 3 (1 Swedish, 2 French and me) and we came back with probably around 50L of magic potion (and 2kg of M&M's for me )

My small treasure with, among others things, a beer mug (for the memories ) and an unknow alcohol BUT! it seems to be a vanilla alcohol... vanilla is always good...I hope......
As it wass less expensive than in sweeden, I should have take more stuff like beers but ma bag was full. Next time, I will bring something bigger!

During the return, the sea wass a little bit more rough but nothing really bade.
Then, we took the train direction Uppsala!
In the end, for around 150-170 kronor, (99 for 2 night in the boat + the shows etc..) we have made a nice alcohol trip like in Andorre!

Otherwise, just to dessapoint some people, I haven't seen some nice, friendly, ladys... well, maybe one, or maybe it was just a a women dressed and with the same make up as one of them waiting someone near a beautiful small street worthy of the darker thriller... I should have asked her :-p

Here we are! End of the alcoholic part!

Now, another fun activity: the concert of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers at the ericsson globe!

Wednesday , 13h we took the bus just after the lectures.
The concert was planned at 19h30, so we just took a look at stockholm, manly the big street with all the shops.

One of the nice buildings (I have no idea of what it is)

One of the bridges of the city. There is 17 islands in Stockholm so there is also a looot of bridges!

The "royal palace"  (I think)

With, of course with its robotic guard, sold with all the option: silly walks, evil eye, waterproof etc...

After that, we went to the apartment of our the guy who gave us a place to sleep: A friend of the friend of my friend...got it? :-D
A very nice guy. We have a nice point of view from his window.

Now the most important: the concert!

During the firts part, it was an african band: let's say that it wasn't really the same kind of music.

The globe was crowded during the concert while the red hot were on the stage.

They haven't played alot of new songs, mostly old ones.

In the end, it was maybe a little bit to short I think. They have played during something like 1h, 1h30 ( the band of the first part played during 1h ).
I thought it will be more long but anyway it was fun.
The sound sucks but...

The globe is really big.But there is something I don't understand, 50% (at least) of the space is useless there is nothing, no sits, no rooms, just some girders...why? Probably a Swedish conspiracy. In my opinion, It is a big massive reptilian secret weapon ... we will probably never know the truth.....

I have also seen that they have some nice concert planned: motorhead, smashing pumpkins, deep purple and in February... Rammstein! Unfortunately, i have looked on the website and the tickets are all already sold so now, it's more around 1400kronors than 750 like the red hot :-/

This is the end of the first part. I don't have anymore place to write so I will finish with the gasque on another page!

First Franglish lesson!

Welcome to the franglish lesson!
Like I said, i will write (more or less) this article in English. I don't have a lot of things to say so it is perfect, it will be fast!

So, what happened this week:

We  finished the first lecture of the year this week, no exams, no marks... it is like that for some lectures in Sweden. To get the points, you just have to be there! It's a good thing if you want free points!

So we have started the spectroscopy lectures. For the moment it is enough hard because it is more " quantum chemistry" than what i had learned but! I have bought a book and it will be very usefull I think:

The funny thing is the difference of price between the diffrent shops. In the first one, it was around 850 SEK. I have meet an swedish student in chemistry who is in the same lecture than me. He told me that i should go to another shope where it is less expensive. Indeed, it was at  550 SEK, way much cheaper!
Of course, it hurts anyway to pay so much for a book but it is a beautiful pavé "own by all the real chemists" according to the spectro teacher. So I think i will probably keep it for a while.

Otherwise, I had a nice week-end during 4 days and so, I have done few things:
Saturday evening, as the weather was nice ( well a little bit cold compared to the weather in France but...) I went behind the ekonomikum to play ultimate! It was awesome, it is good to run sometimes ( but it hurts when your arm is hit by a full speed thrown frisbee)

I have also made different  culinary tests :
1) The crêpes made with bread flour -> even with the diluted dough, they were enough thick... edible but thick... and also salty even if I have removed the salt from the recipe.

2) The B system raclette:owen cooked potatoes and a randomly picked cheese
         - first try: potatoes cut in half with a little bit of oil and then put in the owen plus swedish cheese -> the potatoes were uncooked and the cheese....well it was swedish cheese what else (© Nespresso) can I say...
         - second try, peeled potatoes cut in half  in a LOT of oil and French goat cheese (st maure, I haven't found the real cheese for raclette) -> The result is just magic! I think i will eat a lot of potatoes :-D

Otherwise, nothing really interesting. To save some money, i have bought a Thermos and some coffee (Yep, in the end, I have realised that here, the coffee cost around 1.3€...)

My food box isn't washed... i hadn't washed it since...long time ago....and the last time there was some roquefort in it... i'm scared, i don't want to open it. (No pictures for this, i don't want you to have nightmares)
Maybe if I wait enough long, small intelligence form will appear in it and I will be their god. They will fear my and I will tortured them if they don't give me sacrifices. It could be fun, I think I will wait!

I have "cleaned" my room.
Saturday, I have found some nutella and some kind of "prince" de LU. (But here, it is not a prince but a princess/fairy, damn feminists!)
Sunday, I need to buy nutella and the princess biscuits again...

I have noticed that since I am here, I have seen  almost 19 movies:

- blood the last vampire,
-diary of the dead,
-wall-e
-la horde (<-fun to see, almost a nanard, like we say "it stinks" the french cinema :-D )
-le monde presque perdu
-le royaume interdit
-the darwin awards
-priest
-sanctum
-star trek
-the informant
-toy story 3
-X-mens first class

I know the titles are in French but don't moan, i haven't done like the Canadians and translate all the name directly in French ( Tuer Bill, poulets en furie, fiction pulpeuse...)

That's all for this article because I'm too lazy to keep writing in english, I have nothing else to say, and with all the mistakes I have done, you should be almost blind and bleeding eyes.

In fact, just one more thing: the 12 of october, me and my friend have our seats booked for the concert of the red hot chilli peppers in Stockholm! \o/ .

We finally succeed in booking them thanks to the elders.Too much security to pay on internet with the credit cards is evil)
We should be on the A26 area, maybe a little bit to much on the side but anyway it is surprising that there still were available places one month before the concert I think so... we'll see!
And compared to some concert in France, it wasn't so expensive (around 750 SEK )

Infiltration dans la fac

Hej gay compagnons!

*mode mouton on* on à suivi.

Premier RDV  Studient union 11h.
